Cinnamon Roll Recipe


Ingredients:

Dough:

4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour

1 cup (240ml) warm milk

¼ cup (50g) sugar

2¼ tsp (7g) instant yeast

1 egg

¼ cup (60g) butter, melted

1 tsp salt



Filling:

½ cup (115g) softened butter

1 cup (200g) brown sugar

2 tbsp ground cinnamon

Cream Cheese Glaze

4 oz (115g) cream cheese

2 tbsp butter

1 cup (120g) icing sugar

2–3 tbsp milk

1 tsp vanilla extract




















Method

1. Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let stand for 5 minutes.

2. Add egg, melted butter, and salt.

3. Gradually mix in flour and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth.

4. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

5. Roll dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.

6. Spread softened butter over the dough.

7. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly.

8. Roll tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces.

9. Arrange in a greased baking pan.

10. Cover and let rise again for 30–45 minutes.

11. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.

12. Mix glaze ingredients until smooth and spread over warm rolls.

Yield

12 soft, fluffy cinnamon rolls.

Baking Tip

For extra soft rolls, pour ¼ cup warm cream over the rolls just before baking. This creates bakery-style cinnamon rolls with a rich, tender texture.
