 4th of July Poke Cake


Ingredients:

• 1 box white cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
• 1 box (3 oz) berry blue gelatin
• 1 box (3 oz) strawberry gelatin
• 2 cups boiling water, divided
• 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
• 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
• 1 cup fresh blueberries



















Directions:


1. Prepare and bake the white cake in a 9x13-inch baking dish according to package directions.
2. Allow the cake to cool for about 15 minutes.
3. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake.
4. In separate bowls, dissolve the blue gelatin in 1 cup boiling water and the strawberry gelatin in the remaining 1 cup boiling water.
5. Carefully pour the blue gelatin over one side of the cake and the strawberry gelatin over the other side, allowing it to soak into the holes.
6. Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours.
7. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the chilled cake.
8. Decorate with strawberries and blueberries in a patriotic pattern.
9. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
